Tanoto Foundation, Apical Group, and T.CARE Inaugurate Rumah Anak Sigap for Early Childhood Stimulation

Yayasan Tunasmuda Care

DKI Jakarta—In collaboration with the Tanoto Foundation, Apical Group, and T.CARE, a service center for early childhood stimulation and learning for children aged 0-3 years has been inaugurated. This center, known as Rumah Anak Sigap, is located in Ciracas, East Jakarta, and its inauguration took place on February 28. This project materialized thanks to donations from the residents of East Jakarta, especially Kelapa Dua Wetan, Ciracas, who collected used cooking oil to be processed into biodiesel by Apical as a renewable energy source.

The inauguration of Rumah Anak Sigap at RPTRA Jaya Makmur involved the Deputy Mayor of East Jakarta, Hendra Hidayat, as well as representatives from the Tanoto Foundation, Apical Group, and T.CARE. This is an important step in strengthening the cooperation between the East Jakarta City Administration and the community, with the aim of creating an environment that supports children’s development. Hendra Hidayat emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and the community in improving child-friendly infrastructure. East Jakarta City received the Child-Friendly City Main Category Award last year, and their commitment is to continue advancing these efforts with the support of all parties.

Aika Yuri Winata from Apical Group explained that this program not only has a positive impact on the environment by converting used cooking oil into biodiesel but also stimulates the local economy through the active participation of residents in collecting used cooking oil. Rumah Anak Sigap serves not only as an early education center but also as an example of successful collaboration that can be implemented elsewhere in the future. Eddy Henry from the Tanoto Foundation emphasized the importance of good parenting for young children as a crucial foundation for building a high-quality generation of Indonesians.

The used cooking oil donation program (also known as the Jelantah Bawa Berkah Program) initiated by T.CARE as an Aggregator Partner of the KSBB Environmental Life DKI Jakarta is a tangible effort to educate the community about the importance of waste management and environmental conservation. Through this initiative, they invite the community to actively reduce environmental pollution and productively utilize used cooking oil.

Hendra Ikhwan, Founder of T.CARE, added, “We are very proud to contribute to the Rumah Anak Sigap project. The collaboration between the government, companies, and the community proves that with strong synergy, we can create an environment that supports children’s growth and development while empowering the local economy sustainably.”
