The SAMUDRA Program is designed to protect marine and river ecosystems through various activities focused on environmental conservation and waste recycling. The program aims to reduce pollution, increase environmental awareness, and empower communities to participate in marine and river preservation efforts.

1. Mangrove Planting

  1. Socialization and Education: Conducting educational sessions for communities on the importance of mangroves in marine ecosystems, their role in preventing erosion, and their benefits for marine life.
  2. Planting Activities: Involving local communities, schools, and volunteers in mangrove planting activities in coastal areas that need restoration.
  3. Maintenance and Monitoring: Ensuring the survival of mangrove seedlings through routine maintenance and growth monitoring activities.


2. River/Sea Clean-Up Actions

  1. Socialization and Campaigns: Educating the public about the impact of waste on marine and river ecosystems through environmental awareness campaigns.
  2. Clean-Up Activities: Engaging communities, organizations, and individuals in regular river and beach clean-up activities.
  3. Waste Processing and Recycling: Collecting the gathered waste, sorting it, and processing it into economically valuable recycled products.


3. Conservation-Based Ecotourism Development

  1. Ecotourism Awareness: Educating the public and tourists about the importance of sustainable and environmentally responsible ecotourism.
  2. Ecotourism Destination Development: Building and developing ecotourism destinations that prioritize nature conservation, such as mangrove tours, diving in conservation areas, and educational tours about waste recycling.
  3. Community Involvement: Engaging local communities in managing ecotourism destinations, providing training, and creating economic opportunities through ecotourism-based ventures.
