The Waste Bank Program is an initiative aimed at managing household waste in a more effective and environmentally friendly manner. This program not only seeks to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills but also to empower communities by adding economic value to waste. Through this program, communities are encouraged to collect and sort waste, which can then be exchanged for money or valuable goods.

Socialization

The goal of socialization is to raise awareness and encourage community participation in the Waste Bank Program. Through awareness campaigns and community meetings, people are invited to understand the environmental and economic benefits of the program, so they are not only educated but also motivated to actively participate and become committed members.

Technical Training

This training aims to provide practical knowledge and skills to participants in waste management, sustainable business development, and community empowerment towards greener and more prosperous neighborhoods. The training will cover important topics such as: structure and organization of waste banks, business marketing tips and tricks, business processes, plastic sorting and utilization, and more.

Implementation

Implementation of the Waste Bank Program includes several key stages to support effective and sustainable operations, which include:

  1. Construction or renovation of waste banks
  2. Procurement of waste bank equipment
  3. Operations (sorting, weighing, storing, and donating)
  4. Social activities funded by waste donations

Development

The goal of development within the Waste Bank Program is to enhance operational capacity and expand the program’s reach to have a broader impact on communities and the environment, which includes:

  1. Developing new products from recycled materials to increase the economic value of waste.
  2. Building a waste-conscious and environmentally caring community, and more.
