About the Role

As a Research & Advocacy Officer, you will conduct research, analyze policies, and develop insights to support T.CARE’s programs and advocacy work. You will collaborate with government institutions, businesses, academics, NGOs/CSOs, communities, and other partners to identify emerging issues and develop practical recommendations.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct desk research, literature reviews, and qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.
  • Identify social issues, community needs, emerging trends, and relevant regulatory developments.
  • Analyze policies, regulations, and government programs and develop evidence-based recommendations.
  • Prepare research briefs, policy briefs, position papers, proposals, presentations, and reports for management and partners.
  • Support advocacy strategies based on research findings and stakeholder mapping.
  • Monitor public issues and policy developments relevant to T.CARE’s programs.
  • Support FGDs, public discussions, policy dialogues, public hearings, and other advocacy activities.
  • Map stakeholders and support engagement with government and legislative institutions, businesses, academics, NGOs/CSOs, donors, media, communities, and development partners.
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and documentation for stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide research-based insights to improve programs and document lessons learned and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the program, communications, partnership, and monitoring and evaluation teams.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Administration, Sociology, Law, Communication, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in research, policy analysis, advocacy, program development, NGOs/CSOs, consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to conduct qualitative and quantitative research and turn findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Able to write reports, policy briefs, proposals, and other analytical documents.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Familiarity with ESG, SDGs, CSR/TJSL, sustainability, social impact, or inclusive development is preferred.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, FGDs, interviews, surveys, policy advocacy, or social research is an advantage.
  • Experience working with government, businesses, NGOs/CSOs, donors, academics, or development institutions is an advantage.
  • Data visualization skills and English proficiency are an advantage.
